Where can you be found?
I have been working from home since the start of the pandemic, but before this I was based in the Basildon, Essex office.

When did you join the Prestige Underwriting Team?
I joined Prestige Underwriting in December 2016. Prior to this I had worked at Towergate since I left school! I now have over 14 years in the insurance industry.
What are you likely to be doing on a daily basis?
I specialise in non-standard home products including thatched properties. On a day-to-day basis, I assist brokers with the more complex queries that they have. In between keeping our current broker relationships strong, I am in conversations with brokers that use us less often to build relationships there too. I am also involved in testing for new system changes. Finally, I am a point of referral for the underwriting team where a risk falls outside of their individual authority.
What do you find most challenging about your role and what do you enjoy most?
My role is very, very busy most of the time, but I enjoy being able to organise my day. I really enjoy speaking to brokers that I have never spoken to before and building strong relationships between them and Prestige.
If you weren’t working in the dream sector of insurance, what would you love to be?
I would love to be a forensic detective. I love to watch a good crime documentary, and I find it all very interesting!
Do you have a role model in life / business? If so, who and why?
No. But after home schooling for what felt like forever, teachers are not given enough credit!
When you aren’t working what are you getting up to?
I’m usually at home with my partner, our 3 children, our dog and 2 kittens. It’s a mad house, but I love it! When I’m not at home, I love socialising with my friends.

What’s the dream for the year ahead?
Just to continue growing our broker accounts.
